A marvellous example of hope. Not just another war movie, To End All Wars takes the true story of Ernest Gordon and veteran Argyle soldiers to the screen in a way that will turn your heart inside out. . I have to say that touched me beyond any movie I have never seen and you can't even imagine how many movies I have seen. The acting was fantastic! I was especially touched by the several scenes near the end where characters reached their natural conclusion, and by the postscript, which brought the viewer to the present. Although the brutality of the Japanese bushito system is shown in all its horrific brutality, some of the Japanese, especially the young man who serves as interpreter, are depicted as having touch of humanity. The material with which Cunningham et al were working with in this film was tremendous; unfortunately, their handling of it was not. If you want to watch something that will make a true impact on you and leave you breathless, then this is the movie to go with. The Christian subtext is light and only adds to the characters.

To End All Wars is one such film. Here we see true sacrifice, followed by Dusty's ultimate sacrifice for the sake of another, even in the face of his captor's denial in what Dusty believed. The Bridge on the River Kwai, which deals with the same historical events, is not, despite its many strong points. Was this review helpful? James Cosmo's battalion is imprisoned and doomed to sit out the entire war under strong surveillance of the Japanese rites and religion. 4 out of 5 found this helpful. I'm sure you won't be disappointed.
Robert Carlyle was fantastic, as were the rest of the leads, i would give this film 9 out of 10 simply because 10 out of 10 would be perfection and perfection does not exist. More, if you can love you enemy more than yourself, he cannot kill you. Was this review helpful?
To end all Wars belongs in this second category but then again it doesn't really deserve that much attention. I've just seen this movie on television and just had to make a comment about it.
This movie moves us to the considering the deep questions of life. Looks like you have abandon this game so sad.I don't know why there is such a problem with adding an option to change the resolution in the game like you have added in WON .Everything is soooo small to read .I brought this game thinking that you had added this feature but I was wrong.I took for granted with the DLC you would have fix this problem .Please if you ever read theses posts put a patch out to add this feature or something to in large the UI .Your games are just fantastic and I am sure your fan ba... Kiefer Sutherland is one of my wife's favorite actors and was, frankly, the only reason I rented it. Players will take control over one of the major powers that so desperately fought for control over Europe and to end all wars. The directing was beyond glorious, that I'm sure Steven Spielberg would be moved.
