good movie; thought they could/should have went into more detail about some aspects, it wasn't really about what the title suggests, that was simply a part of it; it was basically John's life after The Beatles; that being said, what really stood out to me was the sadness I felt knowing what happened to the 'party' that was against the war (in the public's view, though it began by a certain national leader that was of that side); theres not a chance in 'the basement' John Lennon would support today's version of the political party he supported back then, Lennon was much much much more intelligent and free thought capable (once - a well intentioned benevolent "thing" doesn't automatically define that same "thing" always); everything that was unethically done by the Nixonian state, the use/weaponizing of guvv departments to suppress the domestic opposition and so forth, was multiplied and utilized much more and in stronger ways and methods by the recent occupier(s) ~ (now out) Without John Lennon's involvement, the Vietnam war may have continued longer than it did.
