It’s rare that a debut novel gets the kind of love and attention that Yaa Gyasi’s Homegoing, which spanned centuries and continents, received. Woman in the Water by Katerina Diamond is the latest installation in the DS Grey/DS Miles series, and only the second that I've read, but I am adding all of the previous books to my TBR list immediately. Good characters, well defined and well written. When the killer’s sights are turned toward those whom Lenox holds most dear, the stakes are raised and Lenox is trapped in a desperate game of cat and mouse. However, this woman was ostracized and marked as immoral, an unmarried woman living openly with the sixth in a series of men. Most of the characters in the story were not likeable, especially Reece Corrigan who was a cruel bully and a manipulative liar.
