I feel like there's a lot more to each image than is immediately apparent, like the details on every page are going to play a role later on, lending itself to future readings. VAMPIRELLA #1 is a solid start for this latest incarnation of the character. Is Vampirella an alien? The storytelling is not without flaws, but there's more here that works than that doesn't.
