CALGARY (CityNews) – Two McDonald’s restaurants have temporarily closed this weekend after employees at each location reported testing positive for COVID-19.McDonald’s Canada confirmed Saturday that an employee who works at the Bowridge Crescent location, across from Canada Olympic Park, told their manager they were positive on August 15.Their last shift was on August 12 between 9 a.m. and 3 p.m.On Sunday, McDonald’s Canada announced another employee at the location on Crossiron Lane in Balzac has also reported testing positive for the virus.That employee last worked on August 13 from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m.Any other staff who came into contact with the employees have been asked to self-quarantine until further information is available, and all guests who visited the locations during these times are asked to take direction from Alberta Health Services.McDonald’s Canada says both restaurants have since been shut down for a thorough cleaning and sanitization.We've sent an email with instructions to create a new password.
