and of course, there's the scene where everything falls apart, and Ash is always there to save the day, then the big "shocker" one of the main Pokémon dies, and the battle continues, somehow peace is made, and the more powerful Pokémon disappears, leaving the other one to put up with Ash's blubbering about how everything was destroyed.
